Compelled by the love and teachings of Jesus Christ we are a Roman Catholic organization that provides loving service to those in need in the Archdiocese of Detroit.
Catholic Charities of Monroe County is now Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan (CCSEM). In nearly 60 years of operation, since its founding in 1954, Catholic Charities has been a lifeline to countless individuals and families. Its impact can be measured in the number of lives freed from addiction, families liberated from dysfunction and anger, and in children rescued from abuse.
Today, CCSEM in Monroe offers individual and group mental health services to children, adults and seniors. Programs include: Anger Management, Parenting Education, Substance Abuse Treatment and mental health counseling for anxiety, bullying, depression, grief and loss, and marital dysfunction, among other challenges. New program offerings include an innovative Play Therapy program for children and a 26-week Batterer’s Intervention program addressing family aggression, which can lead, or may have led, to violence. Foster care and adoption services and additional services for seniors soon will be offered. Please visit Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan on Facebook for program updates.
